Biographie
Isabelle Favez est née en 1974 à Berne. En 1994, elle s’installe à Zurich et étudie au département film et vidéo de la Haute École des arts de Zurich (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, ZHdK).
Son film de fin d’études, Replay (1999), circule dans nombreux festivals. Elle réalise ensuite plusieurs courts métrages pour enfants notamment Circuit marine en 2003, dirigé au studio Folimage à Valence dans le cadre d’Artistes en Résidence, et Tarte aux pommes (2006), primé dans plusieurs festivals internationaux. En 2018, elle signe un spécial télévision, Zibilla, diffusé en première mondiale au Festival de Berlin 2019 (Berlinale 2019).
Biography
Isabelle Favez was born in 1974 in Bern. She moved to Zurich in 1994 where she studied film and video at the University of the Arts (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, ZHdK). Her graduate film, Replay (1999) was shown at numerous festivals. She then made several short films for children, including Circuit marine in 2003, which she directed at the Folimage studio in Valence as part of an Artists Residency project, and Tarte aux pommes in 2006, which won prizes at several international film festivals. In 2018, she directed a TV special called Zibilla, whose first showing was at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2019 (Berlinale 2019).
