Deux femmes musulmanes, une mère et sa fille, se rendent à une manifestation contre l’interdiction du port du voile à l’école. De retour à la maison, la mère invite sa fille à abandonner ce voile à travers une danse désemparée et troublante. Dans une esthétique sobre, faisant le choix d’un graphisme brut et impulsif, la chorégraphie est un appel au combat essentiel pour l’égalité et la liberté.
The Shadow of Veil​
Two muslim women, a mother and her daughter, go to a demonstration against the prohibition of the port of the veil at school. Back home the mother invites her daughter to remove this veil through a distraught and disturbing dance. In a sober aesthetics, with rough and impulsive graphics, the choreography is a call to the essential fight for equality and freedom.
